SYNOPSIS
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) launched the 2025 LIFE funding round, offering a total of around €600 million to support Europe’s environmental and climate goals.
The LIFE Program operates through four sub-programs:
Nature & Biodiversity
Circular Economy & Quality of Life
Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation
Clean Energy Transition
Applicants can pursue funding through multiple tracks:
Standard Action Projects (SAPs) – Single-stage grants for practical, replicable solutions across environment, nature, waste, climate, governance, and information—deadline 23 September 2025. THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST RELEVANT TRACK FOR MOST OF OUR CLIENTS
Coordination & Support Actions (CSAs) – Particularly under the Clean Energy Transition sub-program, with dedicated funding for capacity-building (€91.4M).
Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs/SNAPs) – Multi-stage, large-scale strategic projects, with concept note due 4 September 2025 and full application by 5 March 2026.
Technical Assistance (TA) – Including assistance for replication activities, with a max of €1 million per project and funded at 60%.
Preparatory and Policy Actions (PLP) – Targeted calls aligned with new legislative and policy needs (€23.8M)
